What is the deal with some of these sellers on this site? I'm switching in to making jewelry, and found a great place to buy scrap for $18.50 a gram for 14kt. I send people a question about their gold, cheap looking, fake nugget ring asking for some details... "I don't know". I say, but you have it listed at $300? You know most US jewelry is 14kt, especially rings made to look like fake nuggets all over, and the one I have that looks just like it weighs 14 grams. You will never get that in a pawn shop or coin shop (unless ya know the guy) and you must provide your ID. I can't think of another way to word it other than, you're asking retail on something, you ain't getting retail for. I just saw a bracelet that has been on that site for months, it started ojut at $7,500 I just saw it for like $1,500. Anyone gotten a good deal out of that site? or know of a good way to approach these guys who don't actually know anything about this stuff? Other than saying you're lucky if you get 50% of what you're asking for, especially not knowing the kt or the weight! I don't know why, I just too a peek for the first time in a few months... wow.

If you know a lot about precious metals, they probably just want your address.

Oh I have a throw away phone I use, I never meet or give any info on my wear abouts, have 0 PM's around me, but do have VERY loud dogs and I'll just say more than one loaded firearm right beside me. I think some are legit, because I look mainly at jewelry. They don't know a thing about it, yet they had it tested at a jeweler...? scam much.

You can't fix stupid, but you *can* find it concentrated on Craigslist and ebay if you're into watching it.

Funny, I've been experimenting with selling a couple of coins on CL, with no luck.

The thing you have to remember is that CL - both buyers and sellers - tend to be very flaky.

I found a seller on my craigslist that has a handful of mid grade Franklin halves for just above spot. Once I saw their address was in one of the worse neighborhoods in the city, I decided against it. I bought a vacuum cleaner from this neighborhood before, they had about 20 brand new shark vacuums, but needless to say it wasn't a home business.
