I am not that familiar with this variety and varieties in general so I just got a book on them. I looked at all the 1888s in this lot though to check for things out of the ordinary and this one seems to be. Does this coin look like a 1888/7?

I don't see anything besides a rough looking 1888. Not seeing any signs of an overdate though markers would be difficult to see.

Doesn't look like it to me. I think the date is in the wrong position.
