Hi everyone, I'm presently using a 5x magnifier. I'de like something more powerful that I can use to inspect my coins. I'm not sure what to get and at what power of magnification. I want something I can use by hand and use it under a small desk lamp. Should I use a loupe? I kind of prefer something small and compact but that I don't have to bring right up to my eye. Suggestions and prices? Thanks, Laura
Those loupes look like the thing for me!! I have arthritis and its pretty bad in my hands so very hard (and painful) to use the magnifying glasses I have. They're old fashioned, round with a long handle. Actually hard to hold anything and even impossible some days, so something that sits stationary, as long as I can position a coin, would work. Am glad I spotted this thread :D Thanks folks!
