Nice photos. Have you tried that camera on people yet. What setting was that camera on? Is there more than one Macro setting?

Nice photos, nice coins. The pinkish cast to both pictures, though, suggests that you may need to adjust the White Balance (WB) on your camera some. If the pictures actually reflect the color/appearance of your coins, then I retract the WB adjustment comment. :o)

more info on the Bryan dollars
http://www.so-calleddollars.com/Eve...Dollars.html

What the photo doesn't tell you is that it is a really big honkin' hunk o' silver- the circular wagon wheel is a representation of a Morgan dollar(412.5 grains) and the full size is meant to represent the silver equivalent(823 grains) of a gold dollar.

I think those photos look great! I wish I could take photos like that. What camera are you doing? By the way, nice Trade dollar.

I often found myself saying the same thing.
Picked up a used Sony Cybershot 5.0 megapixels 4X optical Zoom with Carl Zeiss lense for $140.00 on Amozon .com , new $300.00. Downloaded owners manuel (130 pages)Ac adapter $25.00.

Practice practice practice.

Don't know if the weather permits where your at but you may want to try a coin photo outdoors on a bright day. Not in direct sunlight though. The outdoor lighting may help you with your white balance and adjusting may not be required only a deferent lighting source.
