dsfreeworld Pillar of the Community United States 4337 Posts	Posted 05/02/2016 6:56 pm I want to guess this is an error that is comprised of 100% nickel or copper. I am happy to be wrong. Here is what I can tell aside from the pics: it seems to be a darker colored single alloy it is very smooth and creamy in-hand has anyone heard/seen something like this? Any suggestions? Can you discern the layers under magnification? coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 05/04/2016 12:31 am Something on the coin. Just a contaminate that altered the coin. Worth what it says on the reverse. I would try carrying it in my pocket for a time. (about once a week take an image of it) Then see the progress to turn into an antiqued coin. The trick is to know when to stop circulating it. Wait till the tops of the devices and rims are silver, leaving the fields dark. Report this Post to the Staff
