Hope you can see it there. I do have better photos. I cant seem to get them small enough to put it on the website. you can see possible second P just above the first one under the neck. But looking at the coin itself I have my doubts of the authenticity lol.

If you have a minute to spare I also have another dime that I'm sure is an LDSplaying tricks with my eyes but with such a rare coin better to be safe then sorry. The separation in the N and the initials I what really grabee my attention but the rest was minor seperation probable LDS.

Gary,
Do you use the image optimizer that CCF provides. The 83-P looks like a normal coin with environmental damage. The other looks like MD. I would like to see better pics though.

I certainly appreciate that info John1. I have tried to use the optimizer that CCF provides but it Changes the name of my photo to a CGI at the end instead of a Jpg and then it wont let me upload to the topic because it has a CGI extension.

Gary,
this is the first time I have been on the forum. my boy and I found a 1983 p dime in our local park metal detecting today. I am an avid collector and was stumped by the find. I realize it is multiple punched d of some sorts. thought I would see if you made any head way on yours. The one we found is of course earth toned but is in quite good condition
