Hi everyone!

Today I bought these three Barber halves for $11 each.

They are all tougher dates, with the 1897 S being the real gem of the lot.

Anyone have any opinions on grade or value? What's your take on this purchase, did I do well?

Those are all heavily circulated examples. I recently did something similar with a local jewelry store that surprisingly had a large hoard of bhd's. I paid $10 a piece and picked up 37 of them. Nearly completing a set for my nephew. Then later, when I went back to complete the set, the manager changed his mind and told me the price was $12 per coin because 'You're not allowed to go through them and cherry pick'. So I would say you did just fine.

That was a great purchase. Congrats on picking up three better dates at a junk-silver price! The '97-S is worth multiples of what you paid.

I think you did very well! It seems that '97-s could bring more raw with the right buyer than what you paid for all three.

What a price for that 1897-S!
At those prices, let him know he has a buyer up here in Wisconsin ready to buy!

WOW as you have already heard, the 97S is worth far more than you paid for all of them. Nice going.

Geez. I wish there was something we could do with people like this that sell to the public. I think I know what I'd tell them.

@TommyP

I'm not sure what you mean there.
