I received this coin from my elderly neighbor, who was of Chinese origin as a gift. I recently took out the collection she gave me and I googled this coin, and found if real, it can be worth quite a bit. I took it to a coin/fine metal shop and they weighed it at 37.4 grams. I believe it has been cleaned in the past. It has a slight rosy color in white light reflecting off of it. So what do you guys think?

@DWP, welcome to CCF. You should absolutely be concerned about this coin being a fake. I suggest taking it back to the coin/fine metal shop and having them measure the silver content. My expectation is that it will be zero--see this recent CCF thread here for some words of caution.

Also, here is a thread posted by someone else in much the same situation as you:

I did forget to mention that it is around 90% silver, but I'm not sure what the density is.
