Please do not be selfish and make this about your hate of Trump

If you want to discuss the COIN, post below

If you want to interject politics, take a deep breath, exhale and go on to a different thread

Since this will not be made of gold, just about anyone that wants one will be able to get it

It will be made with the Native American dollar plachette

Production and Availability
The coin is currently in production at the U.S. Mint's Philadelphia facility and is expected to be available for purchase this fall in rolls and collector bags.

The Treasury has not yet announced the exact release date, pricing, or total mintage

Design Highlights

Obverse: Trump in a suit and tie, "LIBERTY," "IN GOD WE TRUST," "1776-2026"

Reverse: Presidential seal with "250," inscriptions "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" and "ONE DOLLAR"

Material: Manganese brass with gold-colored finish

Size: Slightly larger than a quarter

Purpose: Commemorative coin honoring American values and the Semiquincentennial

As a small dollar collector, I'll be adding all available versions to my set.

Will this coin be released to the public? Or will it be an NFIC?

Not on the product schedule yet.
No matter what the reporting is, I don't believe it's being produced yet, and still has legislative hurdles in the way of it ever being minted. Or lawsuits.
If made, it will probably be much like the (actual) Presidential dollars. Hardly ever seen.

This coin was authorized by the Secretary of the Treasury and as such is not subject to the legislative requirement

You cut off "Or lawsuits". There are already lawsuits brewing.

If they've already began production, they haven't been released yet. Wouldn't be the first time they've had to destroy a truck load of coinage. Train car loads, actually.
I'm not saying it's not happening. But I have my doubts. We've had several threads going over just this topic in the last...year?

The rereading I did shows that this could potentially be issued as a dollar coin, but only as a commemorative issue. Meaning the Mint would sell it on their site at over face value, not as circulating coinage (which is much like the TRUE Presidential dollars ended up, anyways. No one really like circulating dollar coins any more).
IDK why he would want these produced as a commemorative now, instead of as his legacy, but that's his choice I guess. I'm sure the Mint didn't dream this up on their own.
I think CERTAIN small dollar or commemorative collectors works buy these.
I doubt if produced in normal commemorative quantities that these would ever sell out.

No, that's the point I am making. I really don't think the Mint wants anything on the schedule that it'll have to remove later. This is not a sure thing yet and they know it.
If they put up a coin every time it was approved, there'd be like 4 Trump coins on that schedule by now.
It can be held up in court long enough to get past next year.

That is not conformation, from the mint.

But you say,

Just looking for the evidence

The Mint could take a simple step to celebrate the 250th and show its appreciation to its customers by including one of these Trump commemorative clad dollars with every Proof Set ( due in the Fall) in a small plastic sleeve. . .akin to what was done in 2019 with the "W" Cent and in 2020 with the "W" Nickel.

Given the steep price increase for the set, they can certainly afford it.

I had not planned to buy the proof set but if the mint did this I would
