I know this has been discussed as a drink coaster item for the 3" variety but this coin though being a novelty coin is about the size of a silver dollar -- can't seem to find any info about this size of coin or where it may have been made.

I think it's neat to have. It is something that I'd collect but it is a novelty piece of exonumia. It does appear to have some age to it. I have collected a few 50 plus year old 3 inch sized souvenir "Lucky nickels" but this isn't one of those.
Maybe it's a vintage "coin" for beginner magicians to make a Buffalo nickel grow in size?
