Not buying it until images are produced...something other than the outside of the piano. Good attention getter though.

Why the beck would this fall under the preview of the 1996 treasure act?

An interesting case for a Coroner. Was there a body in the piano too?

If you read the article, it is possible that whoever hid it originally has a claim, assuming that it was not hidden by robbers. So they aren't giving any details, presuming that only the person who hid it would know exactly what was in the hoard.

I suppose that the wording of the 1996 Act make it clear exactly why the Act may apply in this case.

Gotta go now, I need to check my piano...

Would make for a great line in an ebay listing. These assorted coins were found hidden in a piano. Now available for only $1995.95 apiece! What a bargain ..... the Piano Hoard.

I thought to be considered "Treasure" under the act they had to have been buried.

Yep... Don't buy it at all, why is the coroner involved? Sounds like missing information here..

WOW! Thank you for this article! Wish I could find that. The closest thing to that was when I found 2 old bottles from the 40s that were behind a drywall in my house. XD
