I recently purchased an 8 Reale that I probably wouldn't have if it weren't for an unusual placement of its chopmarks. it reminds me of a horror film character with stitches over its eyes and mouth. I thought it was interesting and was wondering what other coins might be out there that are unconventionally appealing?

I do too and have at least one coin with some chopmarks on it I believe. I haven't hear before of the Chinese banks targeting specific design elements on the coins though. Rather I just assumed that they jus randomly would apply the punch. Perhaps someone else here can shed some on that subject?
