Before and after pics. Also can one use Verdi after acetone ? Lots of corrosion but other than that I think its in pretty good shape     Edited by Canacoins

A fairly easy year to find cheap in high grades, so also a great coin to experiment on.

Wade: two good reasons to restore a coin like this...
#1 you get to practice so if you ever have a pricey coin you don't mess it up.
#2 it opens up a wide range of coins most people would cast aside that you know with a bit of TLC can make look really good again.

I hope you notice that where the verdigris spots were there are now pits.
Your coin looks much better but it will always be a cleaned coin.

 Thank you all ! @ Wade/AgCoinAu - Agree with both , I wanted to try my hand at it , not destroy a rare/rare-ish coin , and educate myself in the process. turned out pretty good . @ kanga- once cleaned always cleaned,regardless. Although started with a toothepick I switched to a bamboo skewer instead of a toothepick. I found that you can sharpen to a point and it will last much longer than a sharpened t-pick. Nice result.
I bet one of CCCS or ICCS would put it in a holder without the "cleaned" comment.
