1951-D Franklin Half, Please Describe Errors

The Regency Store Valued Member United States 103 Posts	Posted 08/05/2017 03:06 am I've been reading up on Wexler's coins and variety types, it's a lot of information. On this 1951-D Franklin, I think I'm seeing some clashing around the eye on the obverse, in the hair area on obverse, and Machine Doubling in the mottos (reverse) and some die damage that was struck to the mint mark on the reverse? dave700x Rest in Peace United States 10625 Posts	Posted 08/05/2017 09:30 am I agree with Machine Doubling on the reverse. All the marks you point out on the obverse are contact marks. Any clash event artifacts would be on the highest point of the dies which is the fields on the coin. Report this Post to the Staff
