What you have is called LONGACRE doubling a relitively common type found on the Indian Head cents,, I read an article about it I will see if I can remember where,, and try and get back to you ,, or you can do a search for it yourself.

But if memory serves me, (which many times it does not ) it is most commonly found in the ONE CENT on the coins.

Here is another example on a 1903, it is notable in all of the letters but most easily seen on the serifs of the E's and within the O
This cent also has a die chip On the N of ONE.

And yet another example on a 1905 !! Exhibits nearly Identical doubling to the 1903 Most notable on the serifs and within the 0 of all the lettering of ONE CENT
