Hello Coincommunity,

I came across a 1984 LMC that was definitely off center and I thought smaller then the rest but it still weighed in at 2.6 grams. Incorrect planchet possibility? Also on the reverse it looks like that Lincoln is in more than 1 bay. Once again you're feedback will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

@BV, looks to me like a slightly mis-aligned die. It was off enough to have affected the inscription so worth saving. Nice pick-up!

I think your coin has a slight die clash, which gives the appearance of the seated Lincoln being in more then one bay. In reality, you are seeing a small part of the obverse design in the bay.

I'm sure crazyb0 will be along shortly with a fancy graphic demonstrating how this happened.
