Rackster Pillar of the Community United States 4809 Posts	Posted 02/21/2018 8:17 pm What is see is either a filled mint mark due to die damage (fairly common especially as the dies age) or a well placed hit that rolled material inside of the D. Die wear is expected, so not an error. For the date, there were Large dates and Small dates. Off the top of my head, the way to check is to look at the 4; is the triangle isosceles or 3-4-5 style triangle. I believe this is the Large date version, but wait for another to corroborate (it's been a while since I thought about it). Report this Post to the Staff
