@AoF, first welcome to CCF. Second, I'm not sure what exactly you are showing with your first coin--maybe post a new pic taken straight on rather than from an angle? Your second dime has a long scratch on it and can be spent safely.

On the 2017,if you look closely,on the left of the l in liberty, there looks like there is another L,I.

I think I see a small die chip on the I in LIBERTY on the 2001. Nothing on the 2017 however.

Ok AoF, I do see what you are talking about--there are a couple short linear features on the field between IN and LIBERTY, but please post a close-up of this region. When I block up your current pic, it is too pixelated to determine what you've got there.

Looks like a scratch to me...the picture shows the line start on the top of the head and out the nose.
