This nickel has some interesting marks in front of Jeffersons neck. Any ideas what they might be from. Thanks in advance.

One of two things, not sure which. Die gouges, look similar to feeder finger gouges. It they could be die flow lines forming, of a VLDS die. I do see slightly indicators of #2....and yet #1 being angled like that....?

When looking again, closeup, there are more than just the two heavy lines, this points to feeder finger marks. I do not think they are polishing marks.

Thank you for your input. Do you think it deserves a spot in a collection?

It does look like some minor die gouges, as in Feeder Finger Damage.

For me, no, but that is left up to you. It's your collection after all.
