1953 D Wheat / Planchet Error?

Good morning all. I have this coin in my collection and I have always wondered about it. At first I thought someone may have used a hot tool to poke the coin, but after looking closer I saw what seems to be raised images. Lincolns jacket for example looks like a raised,leg and boot. I will leave in the hands of the forum to maybe help me out with this. Here are some pictures. Thanks...

Can't say for sure exactly what caused the damage,
but I do know it didn't happen during the striking of
the coin so it is not an error. PMD
