I can see what looks like a split lower serif. I'm not sure (or could be too minor) since I can't match it with anything on coppercoins. What do you think?

OK - maybe before coop chimes in, I'm looking at this again and say that the mm took a hit. The flattened portion of the lower serif makes it look split. Have I solved my own mystery?

I found the west side of the upper curve interesting, but concluded like you it was also damaged. I even looked it up to be sure. Nothing listed for this. We tried. But remember, we still learned something. How contact marks can affect coins.
