All altered coins have a purpose. What is that? It is an attempt to create a mint error coin. When they realize they have failed, they spend it. If they don't spend it, they sell them. Or job is to educate to expose the fakes and reveal the cons for what they are. That is why I always show what I see on every coin, what is and what isn't collectible. That way, they will know the next time they see it again on the next coin, they will know what it is. I feel this is better than a yes or no answer. Along with helping one person, I realize that others read this and benefit as well. I'm so glad to see others do this as well. It makes me happy to see that others see that as well.
