I finally got some of my large notes graded. This note is one of several that was given to my mother by my grandfather in 1949 as a rainy day fund.

Another problem free note with provenance Susuman, well done.

Thomas Hart Benton wasn't exactly a household name, but his image managed to make onto the face of a 1922 $100 Gold Certificate. Congratulations on the three note Hat Trick.

The name Thomas Hart Benton is usually associated with the famous American painter, but this was a different person of course - a long time senator from Missouri and staunch hard money advocate who was nicknamed "Old Bullion".
