In regards to my 1888 O, I noticed this on the reverse. Is this a whole different variety?

Looks like it might be a die clash.

It is a clash artifact referred to as a Bearded Eagle. See attached list...http://ec2-13-58-222-16.us-east-2.c..._Eagle_Clash

I'm very confused. The only scarfaces with a bearded eagle are Early Die States with no evidence of scarring on the obverse. Mine has the most defined obverse scarring with a distinct beard on the reverse. Is this one of a kind?

No advanced die states have the bearded eagle. Does that add additional rarity for a collector?

You have an 1888-0 1B series coin. Some carry a premium, some not so much. Post a picture of the Full Obverse. A picture showing the E and P on the Obverse. And a Full Reverse picture. I am the discover of the Harrison Stage 1 EDS.
