1976-? Kennedy Half Dollar Mirror Finish

I have loads of 1976-D B/U condition but none of them have a mirror finish like this one. If it's an "S" mint mark, shouldn't it be silver? It doesn't look silver from the edges? The 40% silver proof was only in the three coin proof set made in 1975. There was also a 3 coin 40% business strike set made in 1975. (All the 40% silver Bicentennial coins were made in 1975.)
