Need Help With 2019 Nickel Error - Coin Community Forum

NaNa7 New Member United States 38 Posts	Posted 10/27/2019 3:22 pm I am very new to coin collecting so I am still learning the vocabulary. Anyways I came across this 2019 nickel which looks like there may be an error in the date. I cant find any posts or pictures online that can tell me what exactly it is, if its possibly a new error or even an error that doesn't mean much. It looks to me like an extra blob of metal. Your description of it as "an extra blob of metal" is pretty much straight-on correct. These are pretty common, but of course save it if you want. It's not really extra metal, it just a raised spot where the normal metal was allowed to expanded into the hole left in the die.
