ok..this might be my last coin for a while..But this is a 1965 Quarter with an odd mark where the 1964 quarter's mint mark would be...and it looks raised..like the letters on the coin...or...is it just damage?..Thoughts?

I suspect damage, but a good close-up of the mm would help to confirm.

to the CCF!

It can't be a mint mark as no coins minted in the year '65, '66 or '67 had mint marks. This was to discourage collecting and hoarding of coins.

Not a mint mark since 1. 1965 coins didn't have mint marks, and 2. the mint mark was moved to the obverse on clad quarters.
