What would you think the approximate grade on this coin would be? Does toning affect overall grade?

I'm not an expert at this, but I'll say AU-58

I'll say MS-66. Most attractive.

The lighting is not giving me a clear sense of the fields. Reverse is better than obverse, I'll say net MS64.

I tried to improve the lighting in this pic of the obverse.

Nice coin. MS65 for me. Hint of Die Deterioration ('new' photo). I like toning, some collectors do not. Subtle toning on modern coins typically does not erode the coin's grade--typically.

with the new pic I'll bump my grade up a notch to MS65, nice coin, Jeffersons since about 2000 are tough to find without any big hits

Toning cannot technically change the grade but I feel it does sometimes influence professional graders. Nice Jefferson! It isn't a satin coin from a mint set is it?

I don't think it is a satin coin from a mint set, but not100% sure. It looks shiny not satin like.

I'll tell you, I have many (why I don't know why ) that I won in Contests (somewhere else ) and many like yours I feel are graded MS-65 .
Toning is a personal thing I feel and doesn't effect grading .
