"Gewicht" is German for "weight", and the leaping horse on the obverse is a common badge for the House of Hanover. So what you've got here is a "coin weight" (not a coin) from Hanover, in Germany; it would weigh the same as a real French ½ louis d'or, and would have been used on a simple pan balance by a merchant to verify whether coins given to them in trade were genuine or not. Coin weights are an interesting "fringe" area of numismatics.
