2014 Penny Possible Doubled Die Obverse / DDO ?

Maxdell New Member United States 7 Posts	Posted 11/24/2020 2:14 pm Hi Everyone. This is my first time posting. I found this 2014, no mint mark, in pocket change. Lincoln's shoulder line is kind of doubled. Can this be a doubled die? Thanks. Report this Post to the Staff

coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 11/24/2020 2:21 pm Just a damaged area on the coin. In order to a doubled die, it would have to show enlargement on the hub of the die. I don't recall ever seeing a DDO on that area of the coin. Very possible it might be MD, but other areas would be also affected. I didn't see any, but they could be there. I agree, maybe slight Machine Doubling, but that's about it. BTW, " no mint mark" means it was minted in Philadelphia, just fyi. to the CCF! Report this Post to the Staff
