Unusual 1978 Penny Mint Mark And Strange Markings?

So even on the same dated coin the mint mark can be different in position and alignment. The bottom corner of your D took a hit which moved the metal up into the center. realdeal101 Valued Member United States 113 Posts	Posted 03/18/2021 11:28 pm I wonder if this is a test coin they needed a beat up coin to test the mint mark.It first was a "S" then tested with a "D".
