Are coins like this worth anything more than melt ?
Even if some may be rare or collectable ?
Just curious thanks

Since different dates are worth more than others, we would need to see the dates to tell if there was a rare one in there.

Normally coins that have been made into jewelry are damaged to a certain degree though. So getting full price for even a ket date would not be likely.

Are they love tokens as well, with engraving on the Reverse?

It looks to me like each was soldered to the loops to hold them. There's no rescue.

Also, jewellery coins are generally harshly cleaned.

Not to pile on, but ex-jewelry coins also tend to have distracting and uneven wear patterns.

If you do decide to bid on this piece, I would think you wouldn't want to exceed melt value. If, after examining it, you get lucky with a well-preserved, key date on one of the coins, then you've come out ahead. Just don't walk into this auction imagining that will happen.

Wow sitting at $70 plus commission and taxes I'm sure it will sell for a lot more.
