captainmandrake1 Pillar of the Community United States 878 Posts	Posted 06/10/2022 9:20 pm The 1990 quarters are made of nickel on the outside so they kind of have a "silver" color. To me, your coin looks seriously damaged by chemicals or by being exposed to the natural environment, but the picture is a little blurry so it's hard to tell. Report this Post to the Staff

A good way to confirm this for yourself is to measure the weight. An off metal strike or missing clad layer error would have dramatically wrong weights.
