The mark on the "A" is interesting to me because the mark is raised above the surface of the coin but under the "A". I don't even know what it would be called? Report this Post to the Staff

But I don't understand how that can be PMD since what ever the anomaly is it's under the "A" and raised, it's not a scratch. Report this Post to the Staff

Think of an airplane crashing in the mountains, the plane hits the top of a mountain then hits more mountain tops before stopping. Looking down at the crash from the sky you would see the plane skid marks from mountain top to mountain top but the plane never went down to the valley.The scratch on your coin did the same thing, it never went down in the A only on the field part not the valley part. the letter A is sunk in like a valley.
