Is it just me, or does the D mint mark appear shifted closer to left. More so than usual?

Variability in mint mark placement was the norm.

Quote:
Mint marks were punched into working dies by hand up until 1990. For any given series and date, a collector could track down any number of minutely different Mint mark locations.

. Mint mark positions varied, since they used to be punched in by hand, into the dies.

Thank you! I am relatively new to the game of error hunting. Our family has collected coins and notes for a long time but never more than the obvious valuable items (silver, star notes etc) So I have much to learn
