I purchased a China banknote holder under a company called JQR (JIN QUAN RATING COMPANY) & I needed a help from someone here who knows about this company & clarify if is a legitimate grading operating in Hong Kong. I have some information about the company that might help when I did some research on it:- China Jin Quan Rating Group Co., Limited was incorporated on 21-SEP-2017 as a Private company limited by shares registered in Hong Kong. The date of annual examination for this private company limited is between Sep 21 and Nov 02 upon the anniversary of incorporation. The company's status is listed as "Dissolved" now. China Jin Quan Rating Group Co., Limited had been operating for 6 years 7 months, and 28 days since its registered until dissolution. The source are from this link: https://www.ltddir.com/companies/ch...-co-limited/Thanking all the responses, opinions & advices in advance. All are welcomed & appreciated.

Quote: An NGC affiliate? More likely just trading off a recognized aesthetic to get that reaction. I don't trust anything coming out of China unless it's from a branch office of a known firm, like Spink, Christie's, etc.

The last auction record I can locate for a genuine one of these was from 2014 where it sold for almost US$200,000.00. Specimens have sold between US$5-7,000.00. I see copies of this note available on ebay. Something tells me that this note is not genuine. Collectors in China usually use PMG for scarce notes. PMG has offices in Shanghai and Hong Kong.

If @lettow considers this note suspicious, then you should contact PMG to enquire if they know anything about this "JQR" Third Party Grading co. This "JQR" certification outfit have used a nearly identical certification label as PMG, which (for me) implies 3 possibilities: they're either a NGC affiliate (as Coinfrog suggested - best outcome) or they've ripped off the label format illegally but are legit (2nd best outcome) or they're not a TPG co, but some spurious individual who has created the phoney label for a counterfeit (bogus label/bogus note: worst outcome). I'm sure that you may get a bit closer to the truth by contacting PMG since they may have already had a problem with this JQR (or they're good). I'm curious about the JQR co. Perhaps you can give more details about this entity? I know nothing about these notes so I have not responded but I do feel the holder looks suspicious (off). If you contact PMG, it would probably be best to contact a branch in China or Hong Kong: https://www.pmgnotes.com/contact/Good luck & let us know how it went.

Any updates?
I did a search (as I'm sure some of you did) and couldn't really find anything on this except a post with a web site for JQR in the Paper Money Forum. The web site (not surprisingly) is not valid.
