Hello All!

I'm a big fan of Swiss coins and like to focus my attention on collecting them. I mostly collect Swiss minors (Rappen), but will occasionally get my hands on some silver too (Francs).

One thing that has bothered me about collecting Swiss coins, is the lack of quality coin albums/folders that are available for organizing and storing my nicer collections. But, recently I had the privilege of buying a hard to come by and very sought after album for Swiss coins.

I've posted a few pictures of my new "Moneta" 20 Rappen album. These albums are awesome, and haven't been in production for decades. Very sturdy, and well constructed. This album has enough slots to hold 20 Rappen coins from 1850 to 2012. The slots are well protected and locked in by a front and back acetate slide. I'm really happy I got it, and look forward to being able to fill it up with great coins.

Have any of you ever run into these old albums during your collecting? I've only been able to find one US dealer who very rarely has them in stock, and any exhaustive search on the internet will result in only a few minor references to the albums here and there.

I would love to get my hands on more of these. If you have any help/advice you can offer, I'd appreciate it. If not, hope you enjoyed the pictures!

Thanks!

Very nice!

They look interesting, with the slides loading from the top. Different than what I expect, considering my Dansco bias.

This album looks really nice. I have never seen this kind of album even I live in Switzerland.
I also have a lot Swiss coins in my collection. I have my collection in neutral albums from Leuchtturm.

You're all correct; they are very rare and hard to come by. They haven't been made in quite a while, and judging by how hard it is to find them, I don't think they were produced in a large quantity.

I'm probably going to have to do the same as swiss89 and store the rest of my collection in blank folders, probably from Dansco or something comparable.

The OP has not been here in nearly nine years, but hopefully someone else may be able to assist.
