This is my 1996 Wide AM With the serif on the designer's G. I am looking for any little thing that could improve the value of the Lincoln Cent. Maybe some columnar doubling on the Reverse? Any input is appreciated.

Welcome to CCF

The proof is supposed to be a Wide AM. That is the entire paradigm of the Wide AM, a Proof Reverse was used on the circulation strike.
I swing a metal detector and have a knack for finding dirty old coins.

I hadn't realized that, I thought the CAM vs. WAM and Flared G varieties were all year-to-year transitional mistakes.

to the Community.
As mentioned, your coin is struck as it should have been, it is supposed to be a WA on all Proof Cents.

I know its slightly off topic but there is a 1999 S Proof Lincoln that is a CAM ( Close AM), just an FYI to those that didn't know.... https://www.pcgs.com/coinfacts/coin...1-dcam/38222

There is also a 98S clam that is rarer than the 99S but not as rare as the 92P/D clam. That is what my avatar is.

To CCF! As stated, the Wide AM is normal on all 1996 S proof cents.

Thank you so much for all the input. I understand a ton more about the CAM and WAM now. I love this site!
