I have this small medalet (19.2mm, 3.52g with a reeded edge) in what looks to be silver. I googled it and came with a ebay listing of a much larger one that that looks exactly the same that says it was issued by the AINA in 1967. One side has a vignette similar to the Judea Capta ancient Roman coins with a Hebrew inscription at the top and an English one at the bottom ISRAEL LIBERATED 1948. The other side pictures a Roman Jvdea Capta coin with a Hebrew inscription at the top and an English one at the bottom JUDEA CAPTIVE 70 C.E. Any better information on this item? Thanks in advance
It appears to be a medal issued by the Srare of Israel medal corporation in 1962 and from your description is probably sm21c on this site http://www.commem.com/prod24.htm
