This came from a good roll of nickels. It had this, 1940, nice 1948 S, 1953 D, 1954 D and 3 misaligned dies that were close to keepers (lettering was right to the edge).
Another for the unlisted pile. That's my next thing - to look at all my unlisteds against current listings. Hopefully some will go away. The rest will start getting submitted.

Quote: Doesn't that go for many of the newer doubled dies?
Quote: Quote: This is so minor that if not for modern/inexpensive microscopes no one would have ever spotted this.

Exactly I mean let's look at the 2000s LMCDDR's ( VV's 2006 ddr-028 for example ) the statue of Abe is @ 1/8th of an inch in height and the DDR is just 2 dots... come on, what/where is the criteria. I will say some of the ddrs on these modern nickels may be visible by eye or 5x magnification which is ok, but they are nothing like the dd's like 55 69 72 or even 1995's. I don't know what the cost is for submitting but some of these listed on VV are just sooooo minor.
