Hello Everyone,
Here's a 1921 Peace in what I understand to be an older ANACS Slab. Appears to be a small Lamination Error on the eagle's thigh. Did a couple photo orientations: surprisingly hard to photograph because of glare.

So, what grade did ANACS give this one?

ijn1944 although poster didn't state it, I believe he/she is looking for us to suggest a grade. This is the grading forum
I'll say 63

Sorry about that, yeah I was intending for you to guess the grade. And yes, you guessed correctly, it is an MS-63, no attribution for the reverse lamination though.

Weak strike but still a nice looking coin. The 1921s are pretty tough to grade. I saw the ms63 before posting so no guessing here. Not sure about the variety..perhaps you could try running the image through AI to see what it comes back with.

Nick, try to avoid lighting that casts shadows. you want photos straight on (unless there is something that is not presented well on the coin that you want a closer look). no overhead lighting as it creates glare.

all the small raised dots across on both sides appear to be Die Deterioration. The 90% silver / 10% copper alloy is pliable but can develop copper sulfide or silver sulfide tarnish in the presence of sulfur and moisture. these dies were under severe stress due to pressure needed to strike these. I think you are looking at later die states here. I believe the coin was improperly stored as well and over time humidity also played a role

TPG's are tough on Peace dollars. I think she comes in at MS62 at best. worst case they consider it ED and the coin would details.
