I'm almost positive I have found the 1st Tripled Die Reverse on a 1971D Kennedy half dollar but I can't upload screenshots on here though... I originally thought it was a DDR-001 but after further research, it looks like the T's in UNITED and STATES look like a Triple Die. Anyone have any thoughts please?

Correct! If you do so the topic will be locked.

But, you can upload your scope images that are saved onto an SD card or to your computer. Those images are perfectly acceptable.

Without detail images of the area in question we can't give you any help.

I'm afraid your coin is not a TD it may have some MD at best. Although not a best pictures but the devices do not show any enlargement due to doubling and you are right there has never been a Hub doubling reverse for this year and chances are remote that yours is one!

MD is flat, correct? The doubling or tripling I'm seeing isn't flat. It's definitely raised and looks like 3 distinct serifs on the T's in UNITED and STATES... I've also match it up to the DDR-001, seems to match everywhere except for the T's. Where mine looks Tripled and the Variety Vista example only looks like a DDR.

I suspect Machine Doubling as well. Machine Doubling can be tripled or quadruple sometimes.

Yes but MD is flat. This has serifs and matches everywhere the DDR-001, Except for the T's are tripled not just doubled

Okay, but how can it match the DDR-001 from VV,. exactly, except for one difference... Mine is Tripled and not just Doubled

It can't be similar. That's not how it works unfortunately. Everything has to match exactly, including die markers and the Doubled Die itself. DDR-001 is minor. It's a medium spread. I still suspect Machine Doubling. Machine Doubling is very common on half dollars. Machine Doubling can happen more than once, if the die is loose or bounces enough.

If you still think it's a DDR, you can always submit it to James Wiles from Variety Vista, for attribution.

It matches as much as it possibly can. Other than being Tripled...& 🤷 #127995;
