I have recently made censuses of many different coins in attempts to see how many examples of a particular date or variety exist.

These are what I have made so far, split into 3 categories:

Transitional Errors
1943 copper
1943-D copper
1943-S copper
1944 steel
1944-D steel
1944-S steel
1983 Copper
1983-D Copper
1989-D Copper
1990-D Copper

1943-P 5c on standard pln
1943-D 5c on standard pln
1944-P 5c on standard pln
1946 5c on War Nickel pln

1965 silver 10c
1968-D silver 10c
1970-D silver 10c

1965 silver 25c
1966 silver 25c
1967 silver 25c
1968-S silver 25c

1971-D 40% 50c
1977-D 40% 50c

1972-D 40% $1
1973-S clad Unc.
1974-D 40% $1
1976-D 40% $1 type 2(no type 1 known)
1977-D 40% $1
1999 SBA on Sac pln
2000 Sac on SBA pln

Misc. Errors/Varieties
1919 10c FS-101
1969-S 1c FS-101(this took a long time)
1992 1c Close AM
All double struck silver dollar coins(where at least one strike is OC)

Rarities
1802 Half Dimes
1804 Dollar

I am trying to figure out what I should do next.
I am looking for coins to census with <50 known examples expensive enough to usually be in auctions. (However I did do a 1969-S DDO census even though I counted 65)

Interesting. I wonder if any of the '69-S pieces are actually examples of Machine Doubling (MD). Machine Doubling is rather common with the '69-S. Please consider posting a photo or two of your best examples. Thanks.

Each specimen I found to exist through auctions or articles or posts were all slabbed as the specific error.

No specimens were ungraded at least in the ones I cataloged.

For each census I checked as many auction records I could find, including Heritage, Stacks Bowers, Bowers and Merena, GreatCollections, and as many from other older auctioneers like Goldberg that I could find. I also searched though older heritage records not on the main site.
