I found these searching 4 boxes of circulated quarters in DFW. 1 Philadelphia and 12 Denver. It might take a little longer for them to get out from the Dallas FRB to central Texas. That is still way too much for one. I am waiting to see what the modern dealers are selling them for at the coin show in October.  |

The Declaration of Independence coins are now plentiful in my area, and I'm able to order solid boxes of the design.
So far I've searched about 75 rolls of solid 2026-D coins and 25 rolls of 2026-P coins. No privy marks yet.

I ordered two quarter boxes for this week, and both are recirculated coins of mixed dates. Perhaps my local distributor has run out of Declaration of Independence coins.
Not that it matters, since the boxes of DOI quarters I did search last week contained no privy marks anyway.
Between this forum and other inferior CRH websites I follow, I've only seen one person who found a July 4th coin (from Texas) out of countless roll hunters searching for them, often via solid uncirculated boxes. It makes one wonder how 'random' distribution was.
On the plus side, I am now finding quite a few DOI quarters in the recirculated boxes. Perhaps a July 4th coin will turn up there.

I "found" one early one morning about two weeks ago while skating on ebay. BIN, long time Seller in the mid-West w/100% pos feedback. Paid 100$ shipped. Received it in 3 days. Turned out to be a very nice coin probably 63/64 quality. Did I pay too much? Probably. It sorta goes with the old saying of "I wished I had a dollar for every coin I paid too much for as I'd be a rich man!" So, my search is over. |
