Silver north of $50 makes me smile. North of $60 makes me smile more.

I'm targeting that impending pullback Down to below $62-$60 zone.

Before October 16 but the sooner the better.

I think we'll both still be smiling, except my smile will hopefully be a couple thousand bucks bigger than yours.

Is that a challenge?

My son just started university this week, so you might be right.

Uh oh!! Oh no!!

In that case you might want to jump in on this. If Silver (SLV) crashes in the next 2 months will $54k help with tuition and a few books?

SLV trade's at around 91% of physical silver spot price, or around .91 ounces per share. Which is why SLV is currently around $59 per share and Silver is around $65 an ounce.

So far technically I'm short 400 shares and plan to accumulate another 600 for a total of 1,000 or 10 PUT contracts, technically a short position.

I don't necessarily need Silver to crash in the next 2 months for Max profit I just need it to drop a few bucks ASAP and I'll happily cash out even with just a 50% to 75% gain.

Thanks for your attention to this matter..

With any luck it will be Down to $64.30 by end of day, I just hope I get a chance to load up on a couple more Puts before that.

I got within 8 cents. Not bad for a guess I made before the opening bell today. The afternoon low hit $64.38 seeing a little bounce now after the close.

Watching the afternoon session, the weak ending, made me feel confident enough to purchase the remaining Put contracts to complete my position.

Of course I'm not ruling out a run up to $69-$70 but I think that's going to depend more on headlines. Like if Iran folds, which we know won't be until 2029

Not just CPI but PPI was also soft (on the surface). However there was hidden inflation beneath the surface that wasn't mentioned, Ex. food, energy were both up,. Again Iran holds the cards. So September still rests on a knife's edge.

I made my bet now it's time to sit back and watch the next few weeks play out. Let the Bear's' eat, and some of us Bull's will be joining them and singing kumbaya. Until we hit $60 again (or $70) and then the fight resumes.

The night crew tried to bring it down, but it eventually went right back up. Flirting with the ~$65 zone again.

Liquidity break, sorta. Overnight Market Maker's (the smart money) drops it, trigger the Stops for the longs, buys up their shares, price goes back up, retail and FOMO buyer's jump in, smart money then sells into pop and dump it on everyone. Later on you'll see the fade. Just how it works at this stage.

Overnight Lows /
Silver $63.64
Gold $4317.20

In other economic news: US Retail sales declined 0.6% in July compared with the expectation for a 0.1% increase.

There was some short covering at the open at 9:30am, Shorts panic and cover making the price go a little higher adding to the pop.

The weak retail numbers are a bad sign for the economy, means buying is slowing down, but right now that bad news is good News. Slowing down in buying equals cooling inflation equals even lower probability of a rate increase.

The overall market seemed to like the soft CPI and PPI even though there were hidden inflation increases in those numbers Ex. food, energy, trade. The weak retail numbers oddly is conflicting though because less sales equals less earnings for companies.
