1983 D Nickel. Is It Simply A Worn Out Die?

jfeed Pillar of the Community United States 1313 Posts	Posted Yesterday 10:12 pm This is a strange one and I'm asking for some help. Is it DDD or MD or something else? The top of some of the letters look like pyramids. I was thinking maybe MD with the step like feature being on both side of the effected devices (letters). Is it simply just an old worn out die?
