I think what I'm seeing in your first photo are die polishing lines going northeast to southwest, so that would make me lean towards maybe a die dent(s)....just my 2 cents.

Interesting but I'm not seeing die polishing lines going in the direction mentioned. They seem to be going NW-SE above and below the 1, in the first image.
(I do see a raised line/die gouge inside the 4 that goes NE-SW though.)

Is there really a short, raised "nub" at the end of the cross bar of the 4, like me eyes are showing me?
Words of encouragement are one of the major food groups.
We need to consume them regularly to thrive and grow.
