The majority of the reverse is covered in large bumps and scrapes from die filing with, I don't know, scotch-brite around a piece of rebar?

I haven't found intentional rework quite this bad on a modern US coin before. The O in "ONE" was nearly taken off

You can still see a bit of Lincoln's back neck between the memorial columns.

Man, that mint employee went crazy abrading that reverse die! What did he use, a Brillo pad? That Die Clash must have been pretty bad to have that die polished like that. Cool find.
