Biancasdad...I know, isn't it! I agree.

Someone posted, somewhere somehow that once you clean and remove the patina then the value of the coin drops drastically. I heard It drops to worthless. I don't know how true this is but it sort of makes sense.

Of course they have.

Uncleaned silver or billon will be black after 15-20 centuries.

You can generally assume all ancients (and medievals, and early moderns) have been cleaned.
