Mrhakfbacon Pillar of the Community United States 642 Posts	Posted Yesterday 5:45 pm I remember a forum post a while back talking about how someone had found a 2017-P bronze cent, later slabbed by PCGS(I think it was mint state something either RB or RD, 64 or 65). If I recall it wasn't a normal bronze planchet, but like 99% copper. I also found a post with a GreatCollections auction listing. https://www.greatcollections.com/Coin/2073804 This one being 99.1% copper, 0.9% bronze, and weighing 2.87 grams. I believe these are both the same coin. However, I cannot find the forum post. (It may have been deleted?) The auction post leads to an error page with no listing. The PCGS cert number is deactivated. Any searches about any 2017-P bronze cent lead to only the Facebook post saying anything. EDIT: I found another post with more photos but still mystery unsolved. But no promises on that. Collecting since 1972. Learning from then on "Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Someone's going to have to explain how adding copper and taking away zinc (copper is more dense than zinc) makes the planchet weigh less. Report this Post to the Staff
